Many years after the day Onestar, Firestar, Leopardstar, and Blackstar died, the clans began to change. No more did the thrush and other migratory birds sing, but they had all gone away, afraid of what was happening. The climate had dramatically changed. Ice accumulated upon Riverclan’s banks, the forest of Thunderclan had snow on every tree branch, blizzards swept through Windclan’s grounds, and Shadowclan’s marshes were anything but frozen solid.

Each clan had to adjust to certain changes, most by natural change. Kittens had furrier coats. Paw pads were tougher, and they had less trouble in cold seasons, struggling more when summer came and they had to shed their fluffy coats. Four leaders decided to change their names to match their climates and clan persona.

Twinklestar, leader of Thunderclan, decided to change her clan’s name to Snowclan, due to the snow that quickly accumulated on the branches of trees and never really fell off, except when the snow melted in the dead heat of summer.

Foxstar, leader of Shadowclan, changed his clan’s name to Frozenclan, due to the huge chunks of pure ice that laid around the swampy wetlands.

Leader of Riverclan, Flutterstar, decided to change her clan’s name to Iceclan, because of the water that they loved so much turning to pure ice.

Last, the leader of Windclan, Visionstar, changed her clan’s name to Blizzardclan, for they could run in a blizzard faster than other clans, and they had advantage in this difficult and blinding weather.
