. THE BEGINNING OF THE END .

Long ago, when Firestar lead ThunderClan on a perilous journey from the forest, there were alley cats that lived in the city. StarClan did not mean for such casualties to happen to their once beautiful forest, and now as they wept for what had been lost, they called three cats together for greater things. Fern, Cloud, and Poppy had dreams. Dreams of an old black cat in a barn. Dreams of many cats together... Poppy was the first to speak up among her friends. They remembered the tales of when the cats traveled near their city, but they themselves did not see this miraculous feat of teamwork and effort. It sounded glorious. They recalled the black tom in their dreams, and followed their hearts and minds to find him. The old cat lived alone now, and when the trio of alley cats found him, he welcomed them with open paws. He was a lonely cat, and relished the company -- even of strangers. Then the questions came. "Did cats really come together like that?" "Where were they going?" "How did they do it?!" And then there was one other. "Why?" Ravenpaw, the cat was called, told them. He told them of the warrior code, of the Clans, of the kits, the queens, and the apprentices. And for many moons he taught these young cats well. StarClan's legacy had not been lost to these forests after all. When Ravenpaw died, old and brave, the trio of cats honored him for his guidance and wisdom. These cats knew what they had to do, and it was not for their sake, it was for Ravenpaw's sake, and for the Clan's sake; it was for StarClan's sake. They banded together their friends and their families, forming small Clans at first. Then they moved. Far across the moorlands and hills, into the forests and hidden places past Highstones. The land here was rich, not yet touched by Twolegs. The land was pure, and so...the Clans were born... Generations have passed since the formation of the four Clans: RedClan, LittleClan, CloudClan, and StormClan. Nearly ninety years, uncountable seasons by the cats. Since then, floods have ravaged the north, Twolegs have taken the hills, and now all that's left for the cats is the safety and security of the mountains; the history in their foundations and character long gone. StormClan, after cats from all Clans were forced to leave their homes, grew and grew. They continued to live under the values that they were founded from, and continued to follow the warrior code as always. Moons upon moons have separated the generations, and Clan rivalries and old Clan blood have almost been forgotten. Peace seemed to have finally fallen on the cats, with plenty of prey and plenty of shelter and room for all cats to live happily. But like before, gray clouds were riding the horizon, and a storm appeared to be forming once more. A stiff rain had fallen, and the clouds were rising high, growing darker and darker... And then, forty years later, there was catastrophe. StormClan, under the rule of Whitestar, broke apart. A loner from far away that had been given shelter in StormClan for so long finally left the Clan that had taken her in, and with her went several young cats looking for something new. A new Clan, RainClan, was born, born of arrogance and still yet... something more. Whitestar never looked at Rain, or her Clan, with the same eyes again. Most of his kin had left him for the new Clan, and he made a silent vow to take revenge on the she-cat that had torn his family apart. But it seemed, in the span of just a couple of moons, another cat would betray him. Hailstep, another young and spiteful cat, left StormClan to construct her own. This, she named HailClan. Together Hailstar and Rain share a deep-seated hate for Whitestar, and it is no secret that the two she-cats are still friendly with one another. The forecast is grim, but perhaps there is a light, a sparkle of hope, beyond the darkening sky. StarClan has a prophecy, and every cat knows what it takes to make a real storm... There is vengeance in the air, and a taste of blood upon the coming rain. "Past, present, and future will form the eternal way of life. What was once one, will become four, and what was once old will come anew. The dark shadow of a raven will lead the Clans to harmony, when times come hard and the stars seem not to shine. A storm shall brew, and from it will be born rain, hail and thunder."

Colds are still rampant, and coughs not uncommon. Weather & Prey; With days growing warmer and longer, prey appears to be growing plentiful again.
